I read this idea a year ago and have been so excited for the First Day of Spring to come around again ever since! Here are some pictures of our morning:
We started out the day with Bunny Biscuits! These were a tradition when I was growing up for Easter morning. Use canned or homemade biscuits cut into rounds. One round becomes the body. Cut the second round in half - one half becomes the head. Cut the remaining half in half again and these become the ears. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar and bake.
We gave the girls their "Easter" baskets with some goodies in them to play with. Later in the morning, we dyed eggs:
Hunted eggs:
Watched Veggie Tales Easter Carol and had lunch ~ butterfly shaped sandwiches, flower shaped cheese and fresh strawberries.
Bunny Cupcakes were decorated after dinner:
Decorating ideas for our party will be posted separately as this post is already long enough! Thank, Shannon, for such a great idea! This will become an annual tradition in our home!

Looks like fun! We dyed eggs yesterday also. I love the biscuit bunnies. Cute! I am going to make them this weekend.
Darling photos of a fun day! Thanks for sharing -- Love you, Mom
The bunny biscuits are too cute. The girls look adorable in their dresses in the yard. Happy Spring!
We are dying our eggs tomorrow. I decided to do a spring brunch with my parents and have them come join us in our fun. We have a hard time visiting with both sides of our family after our Easter service so this will give us an opportunity to be with both sides and have a great time together!
I love your bunny biscuits- I have a feeling where you got your creativity from :)
That is so great!!! Looks like such a wonderful time!!! :) Those bunny biscuits are adorable! :)
Love the bunny biscuits! :) I might try those this weekend. Looks like you had a super fun day!
Monica,
Love all the special touches, as usual. I'm so happy you're wearing the apron--looks cute on you!
You're "making a memory" in many ways (remember what movie that's from?!)
I really like this idea...especially for little ones. You can still celebrate the "spring things" and then keep Resurrection Day Christ centered!
I love your bunny biscuits. Too cute! We are tie-dying our Easter Eggs and hunting them today. Happy Easter!
Monica,
I am going to make those cute bunny biscuits for my "little ones", ages 23, 22 and 18 and of course the littlest one who is 56!!! They are soooooo darling - you are the most clever girl.
Have a blessed Easter!
