A Martha Tour

During our recent visit to Florida, we were able to visit a new community that is being built of Martha Stewart homes. There were three model homes open for viewing and I took pictures really to share with all of you! I especially tried to capture some of my favorite things. I hope you enjoy the tour!

Please note: I forgot my camera and took these pictures on my cell phone - so I know they are not the best, but I still hope you can catch the feel and enjoy it anyway!

There was a pretty brick path leading between each of the houses and the outside was very beautifully landscaped. This sitting area with the fountain behind it was between two of the houses.

This was my favorite house. Here is the view when you open the front door. You turn right to a bedroom and down a little to the left, you enter the dining room.

Entry Way

Dining Room - can you tell there is a lovely built in cabinet across the entire end of the room? It runs all the way into the kitchen!

This was my favorite kitchen! I loved all the shelving and glass-front cabinets filled with lots of pretty white dishes!

A close-up of some open shelving in the above kitchen. Amy, this made me think of you with the white cake plates on the top shelf!

Here is a view from the other side - in all the kitchens, the staples were stored on the counters in pretty jars - I loved that!

And, now a view including the island - look at the storage shelves behind the stools!

If you turned around from the island in the kitchen, you would see a set of double doors leading out to a patio with a sitting area like this on either side. The built in cabinets and attractive storage were everywhere!

One of the things that caught my eye in this house was these pretty doors - they were the standard door used throughout the house and I just loved the pattern in the door with the paneling on the walls.

Master Bedroom

This is the front of the house.

Now we are in the next house! This was one of my favorite spots! This is situated at the top of a stairway in a family loft area - it was set up as a homework, crafting, communication area. It felt very family-friendly and practical!

One side of the loft area led to the bedrooms and the other side was this cozy family room!

One of the bedrooms was set up as a nursery. It had a cute play area shown here. But the real reason I took this picture was because I loved the windows. These let in a lot of light but didn't take away the functionality of using the wall for furniture. I loved that!

This bedroom was opposite the nursery joined by a cute bathroom. There were some cute shelves in here and a desk, etc... The picture doesn't really do it justice, but I decided to leave it in just so you could see it.Here is the outside of this house.

Ok, I must confess on the rest of these pictures - they are running together as far as which room was in which house. So, I'll just share the pictures! This was a Master Bedroom in one of the houses. I paid particular notice to the bed linens as they were from Martha's new Macy's line.

Another pretty bedroom.

I liked how this living room was arranged. It felt so conducive to cozy hospitality and conversation. I've rearranged our living room this year in an effort to achieve this and will be posting the before and after sometime soon.

Another pretty kitchen. More shelving under the island and more pretty jars holding baking staples on the counters!
