Choosing Slow, Solitude and Quiet

 

Wrapped up in a cozy blanket/robe, I planted myself on a chair for a lingering morning of reading the latest Cozy Issue from cover to cover. Choosing quiet, solitude and slow is a life-giving choice for me. It isn't always an option but I'm so glad I took advantage of it while it was!

The damp, foggy morning provided the perfect mood and the chill in the air made it feel very cozy. During these moments, I thought to myself that I felt more myself than I usually do during the busy and productivity of life. Of course life on vacation is not sustainable, but it sure is nice to enjoy once in a while!

Family Photos

Because of the change in location and uncertain weather - I was not sure our family photos would happen as planned. I was tempted to just reschedule something when we got home, but in a spontaneous decision - we went ahead with it. 

It was not over-planned, we did not even wear what we had packed for photos - when I say spontaneous, I mean it! I didn't even take my slippers off! And while I save my favorite photo for our Christmas card and won't share it online until after we've sent cards out, here are a few that catch the flavor!
