Knowing Grammie was coming before Easter, we opted to save our First Day of Spring traditions until she arrived! Butter, sugar and flour were mixed together ahead of time to form sugar cookie dough ready and waiting for a fun creation. When time is already full, we chose to bake the cookies in a bar rather than cut outs and decorate with icing, M&M's and sprinkles! So fun and simple!
A slow Saturday morning was the perfect opportunity for bunny biscuit cinnamon rolls, goodies baskets, reading through the Resurrection Eggs and an egg hunt!
Easter Sunday we continued to celebrate the blessing of the resurrection with resurrection biscuits! Easter finery pictures were captured for sweet memories and a lovely dinner together after church.
He is Risen! He is Risen, Indeed!

Lovely photos! So glad your mom could be there with you for Easter. I like your idea of doing the fun spring activities separate from Easter morning.
