Looking for some inspiration to incorporate beauty and slowing down into your days?
Here are a few moments we've enjoyed lately!
Homemade Apple Cider Cinnamon Rolls - roll out and bake the night before,
warm and glaze in the morning!
Listen to Emily Freeman's podcast.
Complete a meal plan - these few minutes of planning save so much time, money and frustration from the ends of our days!
Read aloud after breakfast! We're enjoying this Wingfeather saga by Andrew Peterson!
Cozy up on the couch and read the Bible together! We do this after Breakfast every school morning!
Wear cozy and cute socks!
Sing a hymn! After we read the Bible together, we choose a hymn and sing all the verses.
Notice beauty in your home.
Give thanks for the ordinary.
Embrace beauty when you see it: beauty from ashes.
What has slowed your heart or soul lately? What has brought beauty?

What does your Bible reading look like? Reading certain passages or a plan or reading aloud together? I love that you all sing a hymn together! That’s been on my want-to list for a while, I need to put it in action.
Hi Misty! We pick a book of the Bible and read through it one chapter a day! I think this coming year we are going to do a chronological one year Bible reading plan. Some friends of ours have started a group read: http://www.bibletribe.org/
We love doing the morning hymn and it is great exposure to hymns for my children!
