Thanks to free coupons for the kids and 1/2 price for the adults from the summer reading program, we enjoyed visiting the Mining Museum! There were lots of rocks to explore, machines to view and models to test. Visitors could pan for gold, visit a mini mine and dress up in mining gear.
While my Mom had already seen the movie The 33, I wanted to see it - so we watched it after visiting and seeing one of the rescue pods from the Chilean mine rescue at the museum. Lots of fascinating information in both the movie and museum. We're glad we went!
