Christmas for the Heart

I've spent a lot of the day packing up my Fall decorations and pulling out Christmas decorations! It is fun to sit now and enjoy some of the benefits of my work! The rest will have to wait for another day as I'm tired out!

But, while I've been working - I've been thinking of all the opportunities we will have over the next month to invest in the hearts of our children for eternity. I'm just going to create a list here of all the things I remember seeing or enjoying in case you are looking for some inspiration!

* A Christmas Adventure from Scripture Adventures (use code: candycane for 10% off)

* Look at this cute {and free!} Nativity Preschool Pack!

* I'm intrigued by this Truth in the Tinsel ebook, it is only $2.99 today!

* Sweet Ann's Jesse Tree Advent Family devotional and ornaments {free!}

* I'm considering printing out these Jesse Tree coloring pages to enjoy with our Jesse Tree celebration!

* Here are some parent devotions that go along with each day of the Jesse Tree!

* Anna, a reader here, and a friend have teamed up to create a collection of Jesse Tree readings and ornaments. {$5.00} Find out more here.

* Make an advent wreath.

* I ordered this today ~ I love how you move the heart towards when "Love Came Down" a precious visual for young hearts! {Use code SUPER30 for 30% off!}

* I found a used copy of this book a few years ago and we LOVE it!

* This looks neat!

How will you invest in the hearts of children this Christmas? I'd love to hear your ideas!

Hi Monica,

I really like your Christmas ideas for the family :) :) I also saw the Jesse Tree on Ann Voskamp's site. I'm really excited about that, too. For some reason, when I click on the link, I just get a blank page. However, I'll keep trying, because I'd like to use that in my family :) :)

Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year ;) :) Have a great weekend. Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather :)

We also like to use the "Advent Storybook"...it's a very sweet book with precious illustrations that have 24 stories leading up to Christmas...we like to use it as an extra, before bed story for our little ones!
