Daddy Day

Our church recently planned a Father - Daughter outing! They invited Dads to sign up with their daughters for a boat riding, beach playing, sand enjoying, shell collecting, picnic fun day! We live just a few miles from the ocean but rarely go - plus what a treat to get to go with Daddy!

Our girls have really wanted to experience a boat ride!

They saw lots of dolphins!

What a beautiful day!

Enjoying beautiful scenery!

Time to collect shells!

Swimming & Sand!

I love the unique colors of this crab and shell!

Much braver than her Mama! This is a horseshoe crab that the girls told me was a spider crab - it is more closely related to spiders and scorpions. Ok, I'm creeped out now.

Sweet time for girls with Daddy!

Thanks for catching that Stephanie! David called at the same time I read your comment and corrected me as well :) (sheepish grin) I am an admitted non-expert on creepy things!

I've heard that lobsters are the cockroaches of the ocean. Red Lobster anyone??

For sure your daughter is holding a horseshoe crab and the other one was a blue crab. I think the blues have to be so big before you can keep them. Excellent crab stew! We go to Christmas creek on Cumberland often and the blue crabs will swim right up to you. My granddaughter doesn't know what to think of them yet. Great Daddy Day!
