Roller Skating

One thing my girls had been asking to do was to go roller skating. I knew there was a roller rink right near my parents house that I grew up going to many skating parties at. We found out they offered a little Pixie Class which was perfect for first time skaters - wow, the place hadn't changed ONE bit.

Like a freeze frame in time walking in there - the skates were the same, the orange tables in the concession stand - seemingly everything was absolutely as it was all those years ago.

What fun they had! And, I was so proud of them for getting out there and trying something new! They just kept getting right back up and told me what a fun time they'd had! Great job, ladies!

I use to skate all the time as a kid. I am glad the girls had fun and keep at it!

I just took my girls rollerskating for the first time recently as well, and it was sooooo fun. I know exactly what you mean by "stepping back in time" I had never been to that particular rink before, but it was still like stepping into a 70's time warp! There were some people even having a 70's party!

This was so cute. I remeber those days. So fun to relive the moments I bet. The girls looked excited under the super cool retro skate sign.

Hello Monica!
I have had to play catch up on all your posts.
The Littles are growing so fast. I can't believe how much Samuel has grown.
Isn't it fun when we can share with them something that we used to do for fun when we were kids? I know what you mean by the rink seeming like it was frozen in time. Everything was the same.
So glad you have been able to enjoy some time with your folks and your family.
