Yes, the last big snow we had in my nearby hometown was January of 2002, before I moved here. It was so beautiful. They have much more snow there now than we do.

Would you believe that we had snow here in Mobile AL today! We have only had snow maybe 2-3 times in my life...and I'm 37. It was beautiful...didn't stick, but it was so beautiful falling from the sky! God's glory is AMAZING!

I get excited about snow too, but I live in a snowy climate.

Happy for you!☺

Enjoy the snow! We have several inches here too just since about 4pm. We were thinking we'd only get an inch if any but we've gotten more than that. It's beautiful!!!

I'm surprised that you guys got snow being closer to the coast. I know it's a rare treat!!!

Enjoy!!! It sure is beautiful... even when you get 20" like we did this past week. See my post for today for pics - if you'd like.

It's fun... from the inside looking out....in my opinion.

My mom is living in Charleston, SC and sent pictures of the snow. It is just funny to think that SC has snow?!?!?! I bet your girls have so much fun! Blessings!

Congratulations on the snow. We just survived Snowmageddon 2010 in Northern Virginia. Pretty the first two days...now not so much.
Enjoy and stay warm!

I so can understand the joy of snow. Yesterday, it snowed in south Georgia (one hour from Florida) enough to cover the ground! I have lived here almost twelve years, and it was PURE JOY to watch the kids play and see it snowing. After growing up in Ohio, I always feel my kids are deprived of not having snow. We had a fire, and it was so fun! Praise God for the little blessings!

I have to laugh, thinking about Vancouver needing more snow for the Olympics and the South getting unprecedented snow. We have about 3', so it will be here for awhile. As I looked for new boots and snow pants for my son (he had a growth spurt at the end of the season when all of the stores are stocking flip flops), I wondered if you even have winter gear for your littles!

I HEARD THAT EVERY STATE EXCEPT HAWAII HAD SNOW YESTERDAY! SOME OF YOUR FRIENDS ARE CONFIRMING THAT.
ENJOY. (CHRISTMAS LIKE A CHILD).

LOVE, DAD

Your post made me laugh. I am from Nebraska and I don't think I have EVER heard "snow" be called a miracle. LOL!! We have had snow on the ground since October! Ü We are soooo ready for spring here.

How lovely! We had 16"+ last Tues/Wed in NJ, but it still excites me every time I see those little flakes drifting down from the heavens ;) And my transplanted sis-in-love emailed me photos of snow in CHARLESTON last night! Enjoy!

Oh Monica, that is wonderful! I know the children know exactly what to do with it! We also live in an area that rarely gets snow and got our first real snow recently. Our children had no problem figuring out how to play in it. Enjoy the sweet blessing!

:) It is so cute that you are excited about snow! :)

We are in PA and got hammered with 48 inches over the course of 5 days! Monica- you'll have to hop over to my blog to see our pictures of the snow and our littles and puppy enjoying it.

Savor this moment with your littles- and don't forget to take a picture of them "eating" snowflakes as they fall- they make great christmas pictures!

I live in PA..and snow here is the norm through winter...I forget, sometimes, that some people don't get to experience the snow like we do! :)
