My dad used to play drums in a band in the 70's and the little ladies talked him into getting one of his drums out to show them and let them play! Enjoy the pix of our time ~

Wow, that is great that he shared his talent with your girls. I played drums in high school.
So cool to be able to play with a real instrument ....with permission! I am sure your Dad enjoyed showing them how to play with the drum. Looks like one of your little ladies might be a future drummer.
Your daddy looks like such a warm and caring man. What a blessing to have such a special moment with Grandpa. The girls are all smiles. So sweet. Angie in TX
My brother played drums all through high school and college. His son plays drums and teaches drum lessons now. My youngest daughter wants to be a drummer. Can I say that I just love those photos? Cherish them. They are so special.
Great photos...I love the one of your dad's hand next to the drum! My kids enjoy spending time with grandparents too...sometimes they don't want to go home! LOL! What a nice time for your kids! :)
Ooooh, drums! I have the same sticks, and your dad holds his “correctly”. I was taught by a local professional who taught me to hold them this way. Most drummers I see do the hand-over grip—not as good in my opinion. :)
Dear Monica, These are great photos of a special time with the little ladies! :) You have such a good perspective with your camera -- you capture shots I wouldn't think of but really love to see! Love you, Mom

The memories your children are making with Grandpa... just precious!
Too cute and what fun for the girls! What wonderful memories for your dad and your girls as well! :)
Looks like they had some fun time bonding with their Grandpa! It's so fun to see my boys make memories with their grandparents.
Awwww, MOnica,
You will treasure these pics for a long time!! Miss you! Dawn
such cute pictures Monica!!
How special a time. Did you realize that all 3 of your drummers matched that day?

Loved these pix--I'm sure Dad had fun playing and sharing in their excitement!
I am so thankful you are able to spend extra, quality time with your folks. The girls, especially Emily, will treasure this.
(I am reading your blog every day, but you know how it is at school! I don't always have time to post)
How nice of your dad, both to show the girls his talent and to match the dress code :o) That's one special grandpa!
I just know that Grandpa enjoyed that just as much as the girls did.
So adorable.
