Last year, I started the tradition of making new jammies for my littles to open on Christmas Eve! I bought a pattern at Hobby Lobby when they were on sale for 0.99 and then found that I was not at all excited about making that pattern. So, I splurged for
this pattern which I love.

This year, I need to have four sets of pj's since we have the addition of Samuel to our family and will be with my sister and her family for Christmas - I want Nathan to have a pair too!
For the boys:

For the girls:

We're going with a Colorado or cabin theme since we will be in Colorado and staying in a cabin this year! I can hardly wait to see all the little cousins snuggled up in their new jammies celebrating such a special season together! So, yes - the pattern was a splurge - but the memories will be priceless!

I still have the 99 cent pattern and would be happy to send it to anyone who would use it.
This is the pattern - it will go to the first interested commenter. UPDATE: Pattern has been claimed!!
I hope you've enjoyed the Handcrafted Christmas Series - this is our last one! Details will be coming soon on our showcase of everyone's crafting!

Oh, staying in a cabin in Colorado...I hope you get snow! It sounds wonderful. Can't wait to hear more.
The fabric for both the boys' and girls' pjs are just so wintery and cozy.
Those pj's look so cozy! You sew so well.
Kim
**I clicked on the pattern and it came up a McCalls Ladies Pattern. Is that what it was supposed to do? (Delete this part please)
Hi Kim, Not sure how to delete part of your comment - but you were right the link was not correct. I fixed it and it appears to be working.
Thanks!
Monica
oh monica....I just love them!!!! They are ADORABLE and the kids will all look soooooo cute all cozied up in them! oh what a blessing it is to know how to sew!!! :) I TOTALLY need to get my machine threaded and start practicing! I just love handmade items!!!! :)
I do this same thing. My kids look forward to opening their pj's Christmas Eve. It makes for fun pictures Christmas morning also with everyone matching. We went to Tennessee for Christmas about 4 years ago and made their pj's with a "woodsy" theme also. We stayed in a log cabin for a week. Just the 6 of us. It was such a wonderful laid back Christmas. The kids ask to do it again but the family that we know that owned the cabin doesn't own it anymore. Bummer.
Smiles!
oh how I wish I could sew! thank goodness for Kohls! I bought them Christmas jammies that match just a couple of weeks ago! Its one of my favorite parts of the morning...watching them in those jammies!
The pajamas are very sweet - and I love the tradition you have started. Times like this make me wish I could sew...
Those are adorable. I love the pajama style and I know you will probably use the pattern again!
Those are so cute! The kids will look adorable on Christmas morning.
A cabin in Colorado with your family... sounds like a great, relaxing Christmas to me.
I'm not sure based on other commenters if someone claimed it yet, but I would be interested. It's so cute and I've tried to do the PJ tradition too!
They turned out adorable.
I would use the other pattern if you don't have any other takers!
These turned out darling and will be perfect for our Colorado Christmas! :) (Good idea to have a giveaway for the other pattern) Love you, Mom
Don't the kiddos look so cute in matching jammies! So warm and cozy! You did a great job!
They are really cute!
So sad this is the last Handcrafted Christmas post:-( I've really enjoyed running to the computer each Thursday morning!
Angela - you were first - so please send me your mailing info and the pattern is yours!

Monica
I started sewing Bri's set last night. I really like the pattern. pretty easy to follow and in plain english. Thanks again for letting me borrow it :)
Oh I forgot to tell you I finished the table runner. It looks Lovely on my table. I need to send you a pic.
Love getting new jammies for Christmas Eve! They turned out really cute.
We'll be in Colorado for Christmas too! Hopefully we'll get lots of snow! We're staying in a cabin in Aspen for a few days around New Years. That's how hubby got paid this year by one client whose sheep he sheared...can't complain!
I'm sad this series is over as well. I love the PJ's I'll be making some this year as well. We exchange PJ's every Christmas but this will be my first year making them. Yours are so sweet! What a fun Christmas you will all have together!
Monica,
Would you be willing to tell where you purchased the oliver pattern and is it for knit or cotton/flannel material? Thanks!
Miranda
soooo cute Monica, and so impressed that you are not working on them the night before you leave for Colorado, like I would be!!! You are right about the memories, and you can use that pattern over and over again! I can't wait to see the pictures of them all! I have the same tradition, but buy new jammies. Perhaps you have inspired me.
Now THAT's a lovely tradition!
I think we might have to copy that from you :P
Although I would have to go out and buy a pair of PJ's, since I ehmm.. sort of.. never learned to sew properly..
greetings from the netherlands!
So cute! The pictures will be adorable!
Those pj's are so cute. Our entire family gets new jammies on Christmas Eve - adults included. :O) I like to match each family member's fabric to their current tastes. Last year DS#1 got John Deere pants, and will this year too. He LOVES them.
what a special treat for the littles.
a few years ago we spent christmas on the oregon coast and my mom had gotten all of us adult couples matching lounge pants for christmas morning. it was fun.
Never sewed Christmas jammies, but our tradition has always been to open one package on Christmas eve...and yup! It was jammies! Also, earlier in the week before Christmas, we ALL jump in the car in our JAMMIES with blankets, and hot choclate and snacks, and drive around looking @ the lights. (My husband always wears "sweats"-would never want to be in an accident in his jammies, you know)Have a wonderful Christmas in the mountains, Love in Him, Lynnbee
I buy my kiddos new pjs every year too! LOVE THE ONE YOU MADE! Great job! :D
What cute pajamas! The fabric is beautiful. It makes me want to take sewing lessons!
Many sweet blessings!
Monica
My children are 15yrs, 22yrs, 24yrs with a 25yr old husband. I have been making and giving pj's for them to open since forever... one year i didnt make them for the oldest (thinking she was beyond homemade pjs)and she was frantic...
I will never make that mistake again PJ's all around for each of them only now i make PJ bottoms and i decorate T-shirts with a christmas theme, their names and year.
Just letting you know what you are in for...
Have a great Christmas!
What a fun tradition! :) My grandma used to make all her grandkids nightgowns/pajamas for Christmas every year. But now that we're all mostly grown, and she can't see to sew, she hasn't done it for quite a few years. But it was something very special from my childhood.
Your pajamas all turned out so cute!
Couldn't I just pay you to make my children matching Christmas jammies? I'm so not a seamstress(and that is an understatement!).
Then again...with all you do...I don't think you could squeeze in an extra project!
They are wonderful and I can't wait to see photos of your precious children in them!
I love it!! This looks a little simpler??
Elise
Those are just adorable! I think the splurge was well worth it. Plus you can make jammies for other occasions and other years. You will get your moneys worth.
I LOVE this idea!! I can't wait to have children of my own one day so I can do this too!:-) Great job. Can I ask how much the pattern that you did use was? God bless!
What a shame our Christmas Eve is in the middle of summer!!! Makes me wish (sometimes) for a winter Christmas. Way too hot for those lovely snuggly PJ's...maybe I'll make my niece and nephew summer PJ's instead!!! Great Idea. Lisa
Miranda - I bought the pattern right from the Oliver + S website. It listed a variety of fabric it could be used for and cotton and flannel were both listed. I used flannel and it worked great!
These are soooooooooo cute!! The little ones will LOVE them!!! I like for my little one (16 yr old :) to have new jammies at Christmas as well.
Blessings to you,
Dawn
What a great idea! :) Those are so cute.
Oh these are so cute!! Goodness I couldn't make these if my life depended on it!!! lol
