Family Carnival Night

We usually set aside Friday evenings to just be together as a family. This past Friday, I planned a little something different!

We had our own little family carnival theme evening. I made corn dogs and funnel cakes which I served on paper plates.

We played bean bag toss, clothespin drop, and a simplified bowling game.

A great time was had by all!

You are full of great ideas! It looks like so much fun. Emily is so adorable. Will you share your corn dog and funnel cake recipes?

There are links to the recipes in the post if you are interested! :)

The corn dogs were not quite as good as I was expecting, the batter part was crispier than the more chewy store or fair bought kind. Maybe I had the oil a bit too hot?

Anyway, the funnel cakes were great - I used an old ketchup bottle washed out from the recyclling bin to squeeze the batter into the oil and that worked great!

I used the same pan of oil to make both of these, so that was convenient!
