All the hydrangeas pictured are planted around my veggie garden, they get morning sun and afternoon partial sun.

My experience with hydrangeas in the deep south is that they need at least partial shade - I have some in full shade doing great! The few I have in full sun are struggling, they always do ok but never get much bigger.

MonicaMonica Wilkinsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17235919587298518908noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13617895.post-52087718413534415072010-06-03T08:50:03.729-04:002010-06-03T08:50:03.729-04:00Wow, those are glorious! Unfortunately, my husband thought it was a weed and hacked it to bits last fall. But it survived the winter and is starting all over again! I was very dissapointed. It's a huge bush, which made it all the more sad.

I just wanted you to know that I linked to you this morning...in my post for today. Hope you don't mind.

Oh, I wanted to ask... Do you ever put used coffee grounds on your hydrandgea plants?? Just curious... I know that they love the acidity given from the coffee - but then I heard that it can sometimes change the color of the blooms. Not sure if it's true or not.Bevy @ Treasured Up and Ponderedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15821971923515558110noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13617895.post-71981858191769569682010-06-02T08:50:13.961-04:002010-06-02T08:50:13.961-04:00The colors are so beautiful, thanks for sharing. :...The colors are so beautiful, thanks for sharing. :)Adellnoreply@blogger.com
