Tonight we are having my in-laws over for MIL's birthday, and they are moving to Chicago this week. :(
I am not making her a restaurant knock-off, but I cannot wait to try this recipe!! Meals I have tried...A four cheese alfredo{alfredo, swiss cheese, mushrooms, etc.} chicken dish from Johnny Carinos, alas, it wasn't even my recipe. It was very good, though.
EliseElisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00669663704444452161noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13617895.post-47081841942200080862009-04-01T12:43:00.000-04:002009-04-01T12:43:00.000-04:00Looks WAY YUMMY!!!!!tammypLooks WAY YUMMY!!!!!tammypAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13617895.post-66971597987313224442009-04-01T12:12:00.000-04:002009-04-01T12:12:00.000-04:00I am a big chicken fan. My husband invariably prefers mine, and then I get stuck cooking it at home instead of getting to go out for dinner! ;)

Some of our favorites:

This one is a knockoff of an Outback Steakhouse chicken dinner:
http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Alice-Chicken/Detail.aspx

From our favorite Italian restaurant I have recreated/improved upon the lentil soup, chicken parmigiana, and chicken alfredo. Still need to achieve the perfect italian bread!

My husband now prefers my Honey Walnut Shrimp to any Chinese restaurant's... I can't think of any others right now, but I am hungry now, LOLSadiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15293339034965218112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13617895.post-23615205575265066062009-04-01T10:17:00.000-04:002009-04-01T10:17:00.000-04:00I have enjoyed your website for a couple of years ...I have enjoyed your website for a couple of years now. I visit you and Pioneer Woman Cooks almost everyday. You have always inspired me spiritually and creatively (I wish I had had all the great ideas when my children were little) and Pioneer Woman gets me going in the kitchen, always a good combination for my family. I read Grace Livingston Hill many, many years ago as a teenager and loved her. I have enjoyed many of the books that were given to you in the past as suggestions. Keep up the good work you are an inspiration to alot of us.Wrennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13617895.post-67325897508816291562009-04-01T09:51:00.000-04:002009-04-01T09:51:00.000-04:00Monica-had to laugh when I saw your onion straws.....Monica-had to laugh when I saw your onion straws...knew just where they came from! I was sad too, I liked it but we only ate there once every two years or so, which is probably why they closed, lol.

My favorite restaurant meal is the Alice Springs Chicken from Outback Steakhouse. It's very similar to your Bistro BBQ except it is made with honey mustard instead of BBQ sauce. I bake my chicken in the oven with the honey mustard then top with cojack and bacon (the real Alice Springs has mushrooms but I prefer it without as do my children) and serve with more honey mustard on the side.

I love www.recipegoldmine.com for all their restaurant clone recipes.Mrs. Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10385623160520451175noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13617895.post-16740277596590379282009-04-01T09:21:00.000-04:002009-04-01T09:21:00.000-04:00Amy - yes, sorry I left that part out - I've fixed...Amy - yes, sorry I left that part out - I've fixed it now. When I make it, it's good but not quite as thick. Your mention of Ruby Tuesday made me sad, it's my favorite restaurant and they closed in my town a few months ago. Still in withdrawal. Does that go in the oven to melt the cheese?

Amy, Concord NCAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
