I have to ask you noticing your Christian flag in the photo #1 where you found them that size and #2 if your littles do the pledge and know it yet? just curious. I made a felt flag for our schooling area and we are trying to memorize the pledge. Valentines decorations come ...I love all holidays! Valentines decorations come out soon after Christmas is taken down at our home. I decorate with a red cake stand my lovely sister bought for me for Christmas from Target, add a special doily from my Grandma Magdalene plus a framed picture of my brother and daughter AND a vintage Lefton girl figurine. I hang a "l-o-v-e" banner, decorate with a couple more Lefton girl figurines that hold red hearts, red vintage hankies make wonderful "doilies" so to speak. A week ago I purchased a small plate stand easel from Hobby Lobby (50% off)and set a plate with printed cupcakes in it. This year I put a small lamp on another glass cake stand and doily and a "happy birthday" left girl next to it, very sweet with the special lighting. Our kitchen table is always dressed with a vintage tablecloth (the "cutter" one's on Ebay are often very cheap and not so bad- spills become a "it's okay, it will wash" saying). Red-rimmed enamelware pie plate holds a salt and pepper antique find as well as the napkin holder.
I often rearrange things to spice things up and teasingly "mess" with my husband... he always says he married me because he thought I was a challenage, just didn't realize that challenage would endure for 15 years now! :)
I really enjoy visiting your blog, Melanie. It is always encouraging, both spiritually and life-out-loud.
Many blessings, Melissa of Churubusco, INMelissanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13617895.post-53964293926024300982010-02-03T10:33:12.845-05:002010-02-03T10:33:12.845-05:00This is so sweet and fairly uncomplicated!
